今日はスーパーで、秋田産の袋詰枝豆を買いました。枝豆は、枝付きのものと、さやだけをもぎとったものの袋詰とが、スーパーに売られています。では、それらはどちらのほうが良いのでしょうか。たぶん、意見がまっぷたつに分かれるのでしないでしょうか。
みなさんは、枝豆は、枝付きを買われますか。さやをもぎとった袋詰を買われますか。
枝付き派は、光合成で作られた糖類やアミノ酸の元になる物質が、収穫後も枝から供給される状態にあるため、枝付きのほうが新鮮な状態が長く続くという人がいます。
一方、さやだけのほうがよいという人は、むしろ枝がつくことで、水分が蒸発するため、鮮度が失われるとしています。
たとえば、日本植物生理学会の公式サイトでは、さやのパッケージは、「酸素と二酸化炭素の透過率がある程度抑制される特殊な フィルム袋に入れて10℃以下に冷やした上で出荷」されているといいます。
要するに、科学的に保証された鮮度保持を行って出荷されているが、“自然のまま”の枝付きは、その保証がない、としています。

ただ、鮮度とは別に、「熟し方」の点で、枝付きを支持する意見もあります。
たとえば、OKWAVEの「枝付きの枝豆」という問答によると、枝付きの枝豆は、全部同じ枝に生った枝豆であるが、さやだけの袋詰は、別々の枝由来で、大きさが揃った物を選んで袋に詰めたものである。
同じ枝の中でも、成長の早い物、成長の遅い物があるが、同じ枝に付いている豆は、すべてが食べられる大きさになるまで育たないと収穫出来ないから、枝付きは安定的に熟した豆だというのです。

さやだけの袋詰も、一定の大きさのものを選別しているとは思いますが、たしかに、枝付きのほうが、どんな状態の枝ぶりかははっきりしていますね。
これについては、同じ時期に収穫した同じ品種の枝豆を比べたデータがあるわけではないので、どちらが正しいかはわかりません。
枝豆の見分け方ですが、新鮮な枝豆は、さやの色が濃く鮮やかな緑色で、表面の産毛がしっかりついているそうです。
そして、豆は大きさが均一で、まんべんなく入っているものがよいとされます。
いずれにしても、ごぼうの、泥付きと泥なしではどちらがいいか、という話と同じで、最終的には、その人の好みなのかもしれません。

長く親しまれ続いていたものが終了するのは残念ですが、時のうつろいというのはそういうものです。
著者も歳を取り、時代も変わっている以上、作品を終わらせてあげないのは酷でしょう。
私はテレビ番組にしろ、紙媒体の連載にしろ、いろいろな事情や思惑で、ダラダラと続けることで、逆に作品の評価が下がってしまうような気がします。
まとめ記事にもありますが、『浮浪雲』には、一般庶民の、「善良」さと「愚かで低俗」さがバランスよく描かれていて、そのリアリティが大変魅力的でしたね。
ジョージ秋山の作品を最初に知ったのは『パットマンＸ』でしたが、『銭ゲバ』を筆頭に、決して世の中や人を甘く描かない、独特の、というより
毒特の厳しさは、好き嫌いはあるでしょうが、私は全体として積極的に評価したい作風です。

産地がばらばらっていう事も時と場合によってなくは
ないでしょうけど。スーパー等を信頼して買っている
訳ですから。

枝豆は既に茹でているものを買って食べることが多いような（笑）。しかし今朝はアスパラガスを茹でたんですが、けっこう上手くできました（←話を逸らしている様子 笑）。枝豆は好きなんですが、現在は原則アルコールをたしなまないので、「ビールに枝豆」という定番のシチュエーションはないのです。でも枝豆のほこほこしたふくよかな味わいは食欲をそそりますね。アスパラガスなどもそうなんですが、いろいろレシピや茹で方などを調べるのですが、最終的には（ええい！細かいことなど知らないやい！）と大雑把になるのがわたしのクッキングの欠点だという自覚はあります（笑）。
ジョージ秋山は子どもの頃はとてもお馴染みの漫画家の一人でしたが、プロフィールをチェックすると、そんなにいろいろは読んでないですね。イメージとしては、楳図かずおにやや近く、「大人も読める漫画」でした。少年漫画誌へ連載していても、そういうイメージがありました。連載漫画は長いものは驚くほど長期に渡りますね。ジョージ秋山で言えば、『ピンクのカーテン』という作品の映画化で美保純が主演し、サブカルチャーシーンでけっこうなスターになったのがとても印象的でした。わたしは『ピンクのカーテン』の原作は読んでないのですが、当時のロックな仲間の間では、美保純の映画版は「必見」というポジションでした。美保純がそのような「時の女優」だったのは、今の美保純しか知らない人はなかなか想像がつかないでしょうが、とても先端なイメージでしたね。
松井八知栄さんの子役時代はとても雰囲気のある顔だちをしていますね。目鼻立ちがはっきりしていて、モノクロの外国映画へ出演していても似合いそうな印象です。ふと思い出したのですが、わたしの父は吉沢京子が好きで、よくわたしに「吉沢京子のような嫁さんをもらわないかん（←土佐弁）」などと言っていたんですが、わたしにはピンと来ず、林寛子などの路線を走っておりました（笑）。などと書きながら林寛子のプロフィールを眺めていると、『仮面ライダー』の「猛毒怪人キノコモルグの出撃!」へも出てるんですね。キノコモルグという怪人は覚えてませんが。ちなみに『宇宙鉄人キョーダイン』に出演していた声優の堀江美都子のファンだったことも思い出してしまいました（笑）。
有名人にせよ、ましてや同級生の女の子ならなおさら、「特定の女子に恋心を抱いている」なんてことが周囲に知れるのは、「男一匹（笑）の沽券にかかわる」という意識に支配されていた時代だったですね。わたしの場合、『サリーちゃん』を恥ずかしくて見られない割には複数の同級生の女の子に関心があるという横着なところもあって（笑）、そのうちの特に気に入っていた子は明らかにわたしに好意を持っていたんですが、小学生がカップルになるなんて「あってはならない」という意識を揺るがすことができず、大人になってからしばしば、（ああ、惜しいことした）とか馬鹿なことを考える時もありました（笑）。
でも好きな女の子と手はなかなか繋げなかったですよね～。フォークダンスで順番が回ってきて、天にも昇るような気持ちなのに、（へん！お前となんか、手を繋げるかい！）なんていう素っ気ない態度を取ったりして（笑）。まあでも、そこでギュウッと手を握ったりしたら、翌日黒板に相合傘を書かれるのは間違いないという時代でもありました。本当は心底相合傘を書いてほしいんですが、書かれたら、書いた男とやらずもがなの喧嘩をして見せたりとか（笑）、いろいろ気苦労が多かった小学時代の恋愛模様（笑）でした。 ＲＵＫＯ

子供の頃は枝についた枝豆をハサミで切らされていました 面倒だなーと思いながらも 母が茹でた枝豆は美味しかったです 最近は カットされたものを食べています 手間いらずですが 枝についたものは ここから出来たんだなーと安心感はあります でも枝についたものは ハズレも沢山ありますね(^-^)

私は腎機能の件で枝豆は食べない方が良いのですが

･･･と言うのも、我が家のような地方在住の場合、スーパーではなく、野菜の直売所から生産者の名前入りのものを買うのが当たり前…と言った状況ゆえ。
都心に住む、お嫁ちゃんなどは冷凍ものを平気で買い求めておりますが、味は勿論、豆の香りが全くしない枝豆なんて（^^;
枝豆をつぶして砂糖を加えた、東北の味「ずんだ」。のずんだ餅、ずんだアイスも大好きです♪
